yep. basically AMD is making a new driver for dual cores and quad cores named reverse hyperthreading and the driver will check the application and "see if it is multithreaded or not and turn the ReverseHT on, or leave it off."

looks like intel will definitely need some new drivers for their multi-core processors, and some faster FSB.
 
So its more of a why you should get a AM2 dual core over a socket 939 dual core? I may be mistakedn, but this is only for dual cores correct?
