Since a widescreen monitor makes everything wide, when playing games does it make everything wide. So everything would be like fat? or not? Any have any pics they could show me of a game on a widescreen monitor so i can see how it looks?

most games have wide screen resolution.

css, fear, cod2, battlefield, doom, splinter cell(i think),dark messiah

u have to set the res in game

But a widescreen resolution will still make the game apprear to be wide or make the characters fat right?

No it doesn't I have a widescreen monitor and it only stretches games that don't support widescreen. Otherwise widescreen games look really good on a widescreen monitor.

These are of course downsized from my actual resolution, but here you go:

The game will look fat and stretched out if the game doesn't support widescreen, in which case you have two choices, either go with the fat characters, or have two black bars on either side of the screen.

It doesn't look that bad when it happens you get used to it after a while and forget that everything is stretched.

How do you choose to have it strecthed or to have the black bars on the sides?
