Widescreen resolutions

I have been looking into getting a 19" LCD Widescreen monitor, but I don't know if my graphics card can support the resolution. The recommend res for all of them is 1440 by 900. This is not listed in my display menu. Does that mean I can't display it? Or is there another way to do so?

BTW, I am using Nvidia 6100, right now with a 19" flat CRT
 
I'm pretty sure it's not displayed cause your monitor can't display it, not the graphics card.

Go to Display Properties.

Settings > Advance > Monitor

Uncheck the check mark on the Monitor Settings. It will show the displays that your video card supports.
