I have a EVGA 790i motherboard and a q6600 quad with a asus arctic square on it.

I have it overclocked to 1333 mhz FSB which is 3.0ghz. Core temp reads the following:

CORE 0: 47%C - 50%C
CORE 1: 44%C
CORE 2: 47%C - 50%C
CORE 3: 43%C

Nvidia System Monitor Reads

CPU1 : 48
CPU2: 44
CPU3: 49
CPU4: 43

Its not a big difference but How accurate are these softwares to the actual temperature?

Thanks

they arent the most accurate but, they are around the right area

The best HW monitor i have found is HW monitor by the same guys that make PC wizard.

All temps seem correct

Are they idle temps???? or on load temps???

Try something like everest or PC wizard for some temps.

Have you checked bios? Either way they seem pretty reasonable. Generally the readings are usually pretty accurate, or completely off. Just use some common sense and you can gestimate the temps.

Yea i've always used HW monitor. for me also, it is the most siumiliar to my bios temps.

if you want the most accurate, you would have to get a thermal probe to place on it, otherwise bios or pcwizard
