Wifi being jammed

Hi i have this error were my wifi works for weeks then stops working for days then is fine again,
this has been happening for months ,i have bought new routers and the same thing, i now have 4 routers 1 belkin 1 linksys and 2 netgear routers,
All wifi appliances see the routers and see that it is passworded all have connected before and all work fine for weeks then suddenly spend days saying unable to connect.
Its the same if i turn the security off on the router. my provider said something about someone using a gps jammer ,any ideas?
 
What about changing out the modem? Does only the wireless go out, what about any cable connected pc's?
 
Its just the wireless i have 3 pcs all hard-wired and a 360 hard-wired and they are always able to get online. i have a I-Touch ,Laptop, blackberry phone and a ps3 all wireless and it is these that cant get online for days then suddenly they can with what ever router i use.
 
That is definately strange. Have you gotten any new electrical appliances lately about the same time the wireless started going out?
 
No nothing ,VM my internet supplier cant help either they say if my internet is working it isn't an issue with them.
The oddest thing is all the wireless things see the router and it says its passworded then i get the same error with every wireless appliance "unable to connect"
Its the same even if i take the password of the network.
 
strange indeed. Could very well be. Most GPS jammers also disrupt 2.4ghz electronics...many portable phones operate on this frequency as well...Notice anything strange with them at the time of your disrupted wifi?
 
Have you tried changing channels on the wireless and seeing if you're able to connect? Chances are it's not someone actively jamming the signal, but something operating in the frequency and causing interference.
 
Have you tried using wireless routers that don't use 2.4GHz? They make some 802.11n wireless routers that use 5.8Ghz.
 
The mobile phones work fine , i did change the chanel from 2 to 6 and it made no difference, at the minuet wifi is working again and has been for a few days but in a week or two it will stop working this seems to be a pattern.
