WIFI Blue Screen of Death

I am in school at Seminole State College in Florida.

I have a 2004 Toshiba Portege Tablet with a built in wifi card.

I can connect all throughout the school except one building.

when I boot up my computer in the special location, my computer boots windows and then quickly hits the blue screen of death.

I have finally figured it out the if I manually turn off my wifi card via the switch on the side, I can login and all is good.

Any theories on why this is happening?

I would try updating the wireless driver first. Just because you are in a different building with the same wifi service shoudln't make a difference.

I haven't tried it in another room, just in the one class.

But in the other buildings on the same campus, I don't have that problem.

I'll try it next time I am on campus as the library is in that same building. I'll try it there.

ok, I went and bought a new USB wireless adapter for my laptop.

Now I can access the network, but I still can't turn on my internal nic card without it shutting the system down.

i would still uninstall the wirless driver and then download and install the latest driver to see if that solves the issue.
