WiFi Card help

Hi everyone hows it going,

I'm wanting to help someone make a computer wireless, but I'm not sure of the specifications of their router. So does it matter which WiFi card i get?

Will one like this one do?

There all backwards compatible buddy so it should be alright. One thing i have had a problem with though is if the Router is a different make to the wireless card. You sometimes get unexpected compatibility issues.
If you can find out the spec of their router that would help massively.

I have had no problems whatsoever with that. With my Linksys WRT54GS router, I have run DELL, Compaq, Encore, Rosewill, Buffalo cards on it and they ran perfectly without any hiccups.

B and G are backwards compatible, and most likely it's G, unless you bought a cheaper one. Buying such a fast card will be a waste if you only have a 54MBPS router (if you do).
