WiFi from router to cell phone

Greetings All...

This is going to be a "reach" and not sure if this belongs here.

1_)...*Some websites (what specific website is not relevant) indicates that it can be used/acquired with an android cell phone.....

2)...I do not have service on my android cell phone and in fact, have not used it in a very long time...

3)...Is it possible that I use the wireless wifi in my phone to access the net and then, access a website as describe above?...

I am not sure why it matters what cellphone you are using. A website is a website. Some may favor Chrome because of Google's infrastructure, but iPhones have Chrome too.

As long as the wireless component is supported on the wireless connection you are connecting to, you should be fine.

This is NOT the idea of WHAT cell phone type, only if I could as indicated in my previous post.

Some sites only allow (it appears) android access.

As I said, you can access any website on any device that has an internet connection via mobile data or wifi data. You are making this harder than it is.

I want to clarify that I was thinking sites would block by the browser detection so what phone didn't matter, but it looks like websites can block by the OS of the phone (iOS or Android) now. But that's neither here or there.

But as Johnb said, as long as you have some kind of network connectivity, whether you connect a phone that has no cell phone service to wifi, or a hotspot, or even tether to a computer, you will have access, assuming your inconspicuous website is not blocking connectivity by other means, like geolocation, specific IP Addresses, etc.

I was thinking that a web site would detect that a request/signal was not made through a cell provider but through a "hard line" provider/connection and possibly be rejected..
