Wifi randomly disconnects/slows on all except one computer

Hiya,
There are 4 laptops in my home, and 3 iPhones, using the same wifi profile. Our router is this: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...spx?path=65d5cf3bd02b34055ec49bf2550e9e4fen02 (or the 2013 version of this).

The problem is 3 of the laptops constantly disconnects or experience extreme slowdowns in the wifi speed (eg, taking like 30sec to load Google home page). The wifi icon on the taskbar does not say it disconnected, but rather when we try to open any webpage it will load for a while then say "page cannot be displayed" or some similar error like that. Same problem on our iPhones. The only laptop that does not have any problem whatsoever is the one that is closest to the router (literally right beside the router). Doing a simultaneous speedtest, the single laptop without any problems would have like 24mbps download speed, while every other laptop would have something like 2mbps.

We've hard/soft-reset the router many times, and each time after the reset the problem goes away for a few hours, then starts happening again.

Does anyone know what could be causing this problem and how to fix it?

Does the router do this when the iPhone is connected? You could try one device at a time and narrow down the culprit.

As mentioned I would try flashing the firmware to something newer.
