WIFI Router With Modem

I have SuddenLink cable, 1.5 mps. I rent my router/modem from SL and now want my own. I was told to get a 300 speed instead of a 150. What would be better, the router and modem combined, or seperate? Speed? I am disabled so money is very tight. I don't play any online games or watch movies. I do watch YouTube videos, surf the net, pay bills, etc. Can I get what you recommend from Wal-Mart?

I deleted your new thread about this. Please just keep to one thread from now on.

I would suggest to use a separate modem and router, not an all in one unit.

Would suggest the following.

Modem - Motorola 6121
Router - Asus RT-N56U

If you really want just one unit together then you will need to call them and see if the Motorola SBG6580 will work with their service. The 6580 is a modem and router combined.
