Will a replacement motherboard (same model) require Windows reinstall?

My motherboard died so I sent it in and now have the replacement. Before I install, though, I'm wondering if I will be able to just assemble, or will I need to reinstall windows?

I opened the RMA box from gigabyte and realized its not even the same motherboard... I had a P35-DS3L, they sent me a EP45-UD3P. I guess I'll for sure have to reinstall.

Is this a joke, a P35 DS3L to a UD3P??

I have a UD3P, and it cost me at least 3 times as much as my old P31 DS3L! lol

Delete audio, chipset, etc drivers and you shouldnt need to reinstall, however you may need to reactivate(and good luck if its an OEM copy since those are tied to the motherboard)

Not uncommon to get an "upgrade" when they no longer have the old board.
