Will AMD 13.12 drivers work on Windows 8.1?

So I am trying to find a suitable older driver for my R9 280 OC in hopes of obtaining more stablility. I've done some research and it sounds like the 13.12 drivers were very stable. When I found them on AMDs site it says that they are for Windows Vista 64 bit. Does this mean that they will not be compatible with my Windows 8.1 64bit?

Yes they work on 8.1 I used them with my old 5870 on 8.1 whilst they were still the current drivers.

And yes they were stable. Better than 14.4 which may or may not still be the current drivers (I don't know because I now have a GeForce ).

I saw last night that 14.4 are STILL the latest drivers and have been since April. Seriously!!??
