Will an AMD processor work is a Intel mobo

I have a 3.0 Ghz AMD 64 bit dual core processor aka the black knight. I have an Intel based computer. Would it be possible to Switch out the two processors and have everything work like normal? the mother board i have currently houses a Intel dual core 1.7 Ghz processor.

Unfortunatly, you can't. You need an AMD motherboard that has a AM2 CPU socket to run that prossesor.

yea it won't work. AMD uses AM2 socket and from what you listed there, you're using a LGA775 socket.

breaking the bank would be over $150 Im low on money and I dont have as much as I would like to put into this computer. Any chance of finding a mother board that has a digital out audio and a HDMI output (optional) for this price or less?
