Will CMX12GX3M3A2000C9 Work with ASUS Sabertooth X58?

I just bought the ASUS Sabertooth X58 board and would really like to add 24GB of CMX12GX3M3A2000C9. It's not on the supported list for the board. Does that mean it won't work, or just that they don't guarantee that it will work? Is it worth a try, or is it likely that I'll have problems?

My question to you is why on earth do you think you need 24gb of ram for? Manufacturers can't test every single stick and brand of ram available to make sure its compatible with the motherboard.

my god thats alot of memory...id only see that in servers...my friend has a hp server with that much...its ECC but egad, id hate to see you chase memory issues in non ecc crap of that magnitude....yuck. also agree...why the heck do you want that much ram in a desktop motherboard? at most i could see people wanting is 12 but even thats far fetched sometimes...
