Will dual channel memory work?

Will dual channel memory work on a board that does not support it? I know it will not have dual channels but will it run on a single channel?

I just picked up a cheap computer and want to stuff 2 gigs of ram in it. I can get a better deal on a pair of 1 gig sticks but they only come in dual channel when buying a pair.

Yes, they will still work.

There is no such thing as Dual Channel Memory. The Memory Controller runs the memory in Dual Channel. Dual/Tri channel memory kits just guarantee they will run in Dual/Tri Channel. So yes they will still run in Single Channel.
