i was questioning if i should download a bittorent thing becuz im affraid ill get a virus on my comp i just bought a week ago  ...i have a norton spyware (dont know if itll help) so just wondering

no. bittorrent client usually will not get you virus. they are suppose to be virus free unlike p2p. however, you can still get it. and its better than p2p in my opinions.

if you have an ontime scanner or any program scanning for spyware and viruses, you shouldn't have to worry too much. just scan the downloaded file if you are concerned.

however, its the thing you download(like something you have no clue of), the sites you go to download it from, and the sources that will raise your risk of getting an infection.

good to know...i was thinking of getting torrentspy and i sure will scan everything that looks dangerous....thanks man
torrentspy is a great source. i use it also. but its not a client.

try something like.
bitcomet
azureus
bittorrent
bit tornado
bitspirit
abc
bitlord

many many. i personally use bitspirt. so check those out and see which one suites you.

also i was looking around (im a big south park person) and i found a site only on sp seasons....can someone take a look at it and tell me if it looks alright to download from?

looks good. most of the files are big. set up your client and do some downloads and see how fast you can get them to download.

a client is the program that you use to download the .torrent files. all the files you download from torrent site will all be .torrent, thus it is called torrents. the .torrent files are the files that your client will need in order to download the files.

A bittorent file has a virus but that virus file has been detected and removed by AVG. Is it OK/safe to install that file ?

I assume those episode are legal to download right?

Well that's actually good, as the rules say it's better to revive an existing topic than to create a new one...over and over again.
That's why I hate those Antivirus threads :D

If you have a problem, start a new thread. No-one wants to be formulating a response to posts before they realise they're 2.5 years old.
