I installed windows on my computer but then my motherboard broke. So i have bought a new, different motherboard, but i am wondering if i have to install it again?

It will violate the EULA having a different motherboard, unless you have the full version. Even then, you will need to reinstall.

OEM i think. I got windows 7 free from my college but i have to download it and put it on a disk myself. But it is a proper legit version.

Oem is a legit version yes. It just doesn't come with any support from microsoft. However, OEM is tied to the original system/motherboard its installed on and can't be transferred to a new system/motherboard.

Thanks for the help guys. I did need to install Windows. But i had a little trouble as it kept trying to go into windows that was already on the HDD, but it wouldn't actually go into it, it kept asking me to repair repair windows using 1 of a few methods. But it is all sorted now :)
