Will I Notice A Difference??? Upgrading Memory...

I'm upgrading from 512MB to 1GB of ram, but I'm not sure if I'll notice a difference. My processor is a P4 2Ghz Northwood.

I use the PC for watching vids, music, Photoshop, internet, burning CD's and stuff like that. I'm going to upgrade regardless because of the cheapness of a 512 sticks ($30) but I'm wondering how much speed increase I'll get? I'm hoping for faster boot times, and less lag when running Photoshop or multiple programs, but since my processor is kinda crappy I'm wondering how much things will change....?
 
I did the same thing. I noticed faster browsing, but nothing to write home about. I did notice that I can run more programs at the same time and it didn't bog things down. That was a plus for me!
 
You will not see better boot times, unless you mean the XP loading. Yes you should see a difference. You should think about upgrading that CPU and MOBO too, maybe a p4 that uses the same type of ram.
