I just purchased a new computer in hopes of playing Oblivion.
My Specs are:
3GHz Athlon 64 X2 6000+, 3GB DDR2, 500GB, DVD±RW DL, Windows Vista Home Premium NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE.

Will it run Oblivion smoothly?

D'oh! Integrated graphics. Get a new video card. Check the power supply on that OEM machine and give us the total watts and how many amps on the +12V rail(s).

8800GT is just over $250, its something I never understand, HP make a lovely spec PC, then give it integrated graphics, I know its cost cutting for more profits, but it doesn't make sense.

No it won't, it most likely won't run Oblivion at all. You need to upgrade to a dedicated video card.

It depends on the power supply. Can you open up the case and tell us how many "Total Watts" are produced and tell us the "+12V" figures?

Yes, the CPU and amount of RAM will be great for playing some of the newer games, such as Oblivion.

Probably, but you'll need a new power supply along the card, since hp is shipping crappy 300w which barely powers the default things inside

Ok, the cpu's power suppy is 500W
and it has two +12V rails. The +12V1 is 16A and the +12V2 is 18A.
So with the 8800gt and this powersupply, should I smoothly be able to run Oblivion?
