will mron 400w smps give enough power to msi9800gt?

i recently purchased msi9800gt graphic card which require 400w system power supply and a 6pin pcie power connector

my system has
Mron commet cabinet with 400w smps
D945GCNL Intel Motherboard
Intel Core2Duo 2.2 Processor
2 GB DDR2 Ram
160 GB Hitachi sata HDD
DVD RW

i want to know will this smps give enough power to 9800gt graphic card to run perfectly bcz i know some smps give less power then written on it

If you open up the computer, look for a sticker on the psu. look for the amp rating on the +12v rail and this will tell you how powerful it is. newer psu's have more amps. my trusty 300w psu has 22.5 amps on the 12v rail. enough to run any 9xxx card

not necessarily, it depends on the rest of your build, that doesn't just power itself.

I have never heard of the brand of PSU or the PSU itself so is probably a cheap and nasty one, not beceause I haven't hear of it but because it isn't a well known model or brand. If it came from your case then no way.

I had a 750W PSU from my case and that blew on:

Core2duo 2.66GHz (not overclocked) E6750
2x1GB Corsair 800MHz XMS2 RAM
2x7200RPM Toshiba hard drives
1xHP DVD ROM
1x8600GT

So my rig probably used less power than yours and because i had unbranded, it went.

The PSU is the most important part of your system, forget saying "I will pay huge money on my processor and video card so I can get performance...then skimp on my power supply". You do that it will blow and unless you are VERY lucky, it will take components with it. When you need the power most, so intense gaming for example, you will see wavy lines, rough edges, no shanding, stuff like this because your cards aren't getting the power they need, you won't be able to overclock, you won't be able to upgrade any further and you will get BSOD because your components will get huge fluctuations as your unit is on it's limit and has no room for error and is always under pressure.
