Will my laptop run this program!?

Hi. Is it possible for this laptop:

Manufacturer: Toshiba
Model: Satellite C655D
Processor: AMD E-300 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.3GHz
4.00GB RAM (3.60GB usable)
Windows 7, 64 bit

to run an application with these system requirements:

Windows XP (latest Service Pack, 32 Bit), Windows Vista/Windows 7 (latest Service Pack, 32/64 Bit),
Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz or Intel Core Duo or AMD Athlon 64,
2 GB RAM

I ask because my computer seems to "stutter" or get stopped up when I run the program. The program is Traktor Pro (a dj software), and I also use a midi controller, Behringer BCF2000, with the application (not sure if that affects computer performance). Is there any way to "speed up" the laptop, or anyway to make it able to run the program more efficiently?

Other than how to use them, I don't know much about computers. So any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

p.s. I know my laptop is a cheapo, but I was hoping I could at least get it to run this program :)

That was a bad idea to get a lappy that cheap, should of got one with a a4 APU. But for that program, it should be fine, reinstall windows for sure, it probably comes with all kinds.of bloatware.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Yea, I know the risk of cheap computers, but I wanted one specifically to run this program and that's it. So I figured I wouldn't need much..

I didn't mention (and not sure it matters) but the program has a "load" meter, and it's almost full before I even start playing any tracks. Once I start playing the tracks, the "load" meter starts peaking in the red and the display starts kind of "stuttering" and it affects the audio as well..

So how do I go about reinstalling Windows? and how will that help?

Thanks!

It will help because it will make a PC have less stuff running, pcs always come with bloatware. I always reinstall windows when I get a PC to make it blazing fast. There are guides all over the net for reinstalling windows. Make sure to back up your data. Your pc probobly came with a windows disk, put in your pc, then start your computer. Press the key that goes to the boot selection, escape or f12 on a Toshiba. Press boot from cd. Then wait for it to load. It might load then say press any key to boot from cd... Press a key. Okay, start the install process, it's pretty straightforward. Oh, and make sure you delete all your partions under advanced partition.

Ok, cool. Forgive my ignorance, but will that affect or delete any of the music or programs/apps, etc.. I already have installed?

And I believe partitions are when you divide your hard drive? Is that correct? I have not done that, and I hear it erases your hard drive when you do, so I don't think I will be doing that.. (though it might be nice if I decide to use this for more than dj software..)

Thanks!

It is possible to partition a drive and maintain the data if you had a want to do it.

What program are you running specifically? Your CPU is not really that great, and is a dual core. If the program is 2 threaded, you should be able to run it. If it is only single threaded, I think your SOL.
