Will My Old Monitor Work With My New Computer

I'm getting a new computer in about a week or so and am planning on using my old 17" flat screen with it. It is now about 5 years old, more or less. If I get a new computer, will it work or not. Like, are the latest PCs requiring different monitors from 5 years ago or will it work fine, because it works very well right now and I'd hate for it to be a waste. Btw I think im getting an alienware, but not once of the really expensive advanced ones.

Should work fine.
You may need an adapter but your gfx card should come with one.
I still use like a 8 year old CRT. Works like a charm though (till i get more money)

On a side note, have you considered building the PC yourself rather than buying from alienware? Chances are you will be able to get a comparable system for quite a bit cheaper than alienware if you build yourself. Its not as hard as it sounds either.
