More than likely, no. You would want a card with an external antenna, and then to get a directional antenna for the card aswell.

Cards are better? are they all created the same? any examples on newegg canada allong with directional antenna?

Cards are far from the same. Some may share similar guts and what not, but there are all grades of different chipsets, amplified ones, etc etc... Some cards will work better than others, but most tend to have similar reception.

As for a directional antenna, I don't think most any would come with one, but you could probably find one on Newegg. The main thing is to find a card with a removable external antenna.

Ok so what are the differences Im looking for as far as reception in order to compare one card from another? Also I checked the specks of cards vs usb and they dont seem verry different.

USB adapters have little internal antennas that can barely pick up a signal. PCI card adapters have higher powered external antennas.

Good to know, too bad I went out and bought a wireless usb without this knowledge. I didt see the multidirectional antenna on newegg but i think ill get this model for pci card: EDIMAX EW-7128G

Hi, I bought the TP-Link TL-WN353GD PCI wireless adapter card and it works much better then the usb adapter I had. Im still having difficulties connecting to the free internet in my appartment block. Any suggestions?

The message I get with windows diagnostics says im either out of range (but I have 2 bars out of 5 for connection) Or my wireless settings dont match the settings of the wireless signal (I figured the default settings would work).
