It should be able to play it but just barely. If it is able to play it would be on very low settings.
oh... i should probably get a 256MB video card?

EDIT: or, actually should i just get that $30 pack with BF: Secret Weapons of WWII, BF: Vietnam, BF: 1942, and BF: The Road to Rome?

BF2 made a lot of updates to the game, and now 1GB of ram really isn't enough... I would reccomend getting another gig for the game.

If you search for the required gpu for BF2 it shows a list of what cards will work. 5200 series is not on there. Has to be atleast a 5900 i think.

As far as the rest of your system it will play fine. I play it on both of my desktops and it works great.

That looks to be onboard sound. Nothing wrong with it unless you wanted to upgrade it. Do you currently have a surround sound setup for your computer?

I have a 5200 GPU and i tried to play bf2 with it. Didnt work and the game wouldnt even load. Although i was able to play the demo though.

alright, this is going to sound INCREDIBLY stupid, but by 5200 GPU you mean the same video card i have?

and btw i got a new computer, totally unexpectedly and this new one has 3 PCI slots and 1 PCI-e slot, and theyre ATI chips so i was looking at the x800 or x700...

try lowering the resoulutin to maybe loool 640*480 :P j/k,

if the card can handle the game than it should be on minimum settings

the only drawback with that is that on my power box it says "output max 250W"... but the vid card requires 350 so i think i need to get a 400W... what would i need to buy to solve this problem?

a new PSU? :P

6800 ultra costs around $250 US, how much can you spend on a new PSU?
