I have an ATI HD 4870 512MB that was crashing, because I believe that the PSU was bad. It would randomly shut down, while doing graphically intensive things, but was a 500W. It was a crappy Ultra Power Supply. I bought a quality Antec which is 550W and is more than 80 percent efficient. However, my concern is that it has 3 12v rails at 22A. Will this work? Link for power supply below:
I calculated this on Raptoxx's PSU calculator and it said I only needed 15 Amps on the 12v rail. So I assume this PSU will work. Correct me if im wrong.
Here is my system (I calculated at max load it should consume 412 W at 100% load on everything, which I have never done) :
Intel Core i5-750 2.66 GHz
8 GB DDR3 RAM
AMD 4870 512 MB Stock
HDD 1 TB 7200 RPM
HDD 650 GB 7200 RPM
Windows 7 64 bit
