I am now going to upgrade my PC to Gigabyte-945GM-S2 mobo, intel core2due E6300,nvidia geforce6600.Now i am running my PC with a 300 watt psu and it runs well. Will this psu be ok for my specs or do i have to upgrade to higher one?

i think the 300 would be okay depending on its other specs, and if 300 is the max output. sometimes they say 300 and its really 380 max, sometimes they say 300 and 280 is the max.
also, sometimes they make a 500 watt power supply with a single 12V rail at like 13A. NOT GOOD.
mines a 600watt rosewill with dual 12v each at 22A. thats a good rated power supply, even though nobody will suggest it just because its a rosewill.
generally antec, ocz, and thermaltake are the best... but arent always cheap.

nVidia's official recommendation for a system including a 6600 is 350W. Having said that, a quality 300W PSU will work. The brand and amperage on the +12V rail would be helpful.

Thermaltake's Toughpowers are good, the budget units are crappy. I couldn't call any of those the best, though, or even in the top 5.

budget will be around $25

A few dollars over, but you really don't want to skimp any further.
