Will this build be enough?

I want to play my games at high settings with 2560x1600 resolution (maybe end up with 3 monitors)


8: Intel E7-8870 10 Core CPUs
2: TBs of DDR3
1: DVD ROM
10: 512GB SATA III SSD
+ OS




$103,817.36
for an additional $10,384, the MB has room for 16 PCIe 2 slots, I was thinking HexaDeca-SLI EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2.0 FTW

Total as Built - $114,201.63

Do you think that if I buy this now, I can play Starcraft 10 if they make it that far in the next 50ish years?
 
Why on earth would you want 8 10 core CPUs? The 2 TBs of DDR3?! And 10 SSDs!!?
WHy would you WANT to buy a computer that's 114,201 dollars!?

So let me get this straight. You want to buy a ridiculously overpowered computer for $103 Grand, which is probably what millions of people earn in their lifetime, to buy a computer that'll last you 50 odd years?

If this isn't a troll, you're either just plain stupid, or have no sense of ethics.
 
I would say that's a decent build, but, the 8 CPUs probably wouldn't be powerful enough for what you have in mind, not to mention you only have 2TB of RAM. So unless all you plan on doing is internet browsing and playing solitaire, I suggest getting another one million TB of RAM and 300 10 core CPUs.

Thanks for the insight. I needed that criticism to make sure I get the right thing for playing games. I hoped it would do minesweeper at 640x480 256 colors but wasn't sure.
 
I'm not going to lie...I just laughed so hard that I couldn't breathe and I thought I was going to have to call 911. ROFLMFAO
 
I have the same setup as you and I can barely run Minesweeper at the settings all the way down low. I'm thinking about upgrading soon. :)

OT: LMFAO.
 
Jagged Edge: I'm not on the computer I was using when I found it. I'll look in the history because I'm not certain.

Casey: You better get upgraded then, because if for some reason they come out with minesweeper in color you and I will really be in trouble!
