Will this Compact Flash card work for me?

I have a Canon Powershot S230 (digital ELPH) that uses CF memory cards.

I found a good deal on a 4 GB card, but it is a higher speed card and it says: "Designed for use in high end digital SLR cameras that support UDMA". The speed is: 266X (40MB/sec)

Can I use this on my Powershot camera? I know it won't work at the high speed, but that's ok - I just want to make sure that it is usable with my camera.

The speed isn't what I'd worry about. I'd find out what the largest memory card that camera can use... You may be limited to 1GB, maybe 2GB... I could be wrong and a 4GB may work, but I have seen many cameras and other devices that wouldn't work with such large cards.

Oh yeah, I hadn't realized that. Thanks for pointing that out. I just searched around and found this, which says it will accept a max. of 2GB. It wasn't easy to find that info - I assume it is right. You would think that Canon would put that info on their product specification page.

Thanks again for the help.
