Will this CPU work with this MoBo?

This CPU with this MoBo? (Here's the manufacture's link for the MoBo)

If it does, is it a good CPU. Are there any better CPU's that'll work with this MoBo?

Thanks for the help!

Update: I just saw this CPU now? Would this one work?

There is not bios for the first one, the 960T. Plus it doesnt support AM3+ processors. So no on neither. And unlike was said above, neither statement is true, plus both procesors are unlocked, the FX-6100 can overclock to out perfom the 960T or even any Phenom II X4 or X6.

That's what is confusing me. On Newegg, it states that my Mobo supports AM3, but on the manufacture page it doesn't mention AM3.

Do you think maybe the manufacture's page was just never updated? Because if I am not mistaken this is a pretty old MoBo.

What processor would you recommend that is compatible with my MoBo?

It supports AM3, but only some. It has a weak power phase setup so its limited to 95W processors. The fastest it supports are the, in a X6 the Phenom II 1055 and the Phenom II X4 955 or 945 95W models.

didn't notice the cpu support list till a sec ago, and going by it no it won't work, although there is a chance it might, not a good idea to take the chance. Althoogh if you live near a microcenter this would work well

Also, nowhere is overclocking mentioned, and at stock, for most daily applications, the phenoms would be better, the 4100 is closer to a athlon 645 (which beats it a considerable amount of the time), while the 6100 is closer to a 975 (same, they beat it most of the time). But this doesn't matter since they aren't supported so lets drop it, other than used or local stores, that 1045t is prob the best option supported and in stock.

They are unlocked processors its the whole point of a BE model, so why not mention it. Would you suggest a 2500 over a 2500K just because overclocking was not mentioned.

Well the 95W variants of the CPU's that are supported by this MoBo are pretty difficult to find. Unless I am missing something...

By the way, I want a new processor for gaming. I just bought a Radeon 6870 Sapphire and 4 extra gigs of ram. The processor I have right now is a AMD Athlon 7850 Dual Core processor at 2.8ghz.

Thanks for all of the info guys! I really appreciate it.

What it is the AM3 processors are being fazed out.

Plus the Phenom X6 that will work are not worth the price for the upgrade. Would really be better off getting more cash together and going for a Board/memory and CPU ungrade.

The board has no VRM cooling, so I'd be wary about overclock or unlocking.

I bought the card recommended by johnny.

I don't plan on Oc'ing because I cant seem to get the hang of it. That is one reason why I wanted a more powerfull CPU.
