Will this cpu work with this mobo

they are compatible but what do you want them for? you might also need a new set of ram and will most likely need a new copy of windows.
 
The reason for the "build" is the desktop (Acer Aspire 1641) would trun on with no display. Everything would work normally,dvd,lights and fans, but just a black screen. So I took it to the shop and the tech said it was either the board or CPU. I had just bought a new HD for it thinking that was the problem. Anyway I guess I'll put a new board and CPU in, hook everything up, and see if smoke starts coming out. I will be getting new RAM to match the mobo.

That could mean that the built-in graphics are broken. You could just buy a cheap graphics card and put that in. That may solve the problem.
