I wanted to know if the motherboard above, Be able to take all my existing parts i have right now (Listed Below in Sig.)

I just want to change my existing motherboard because the highest chip it takes is an amd x2. I dont want to change my chip right now but i want to be able to upgrade it in a year or 2 to phenom quad core or something.

also, If this motherboard is compatible with my existing set up. Is it just plug and play? or is it more complicated. ( i never swapped a motherboard before)

seems to be plug play since you have a AM2. btw, i have a am2+ motherboard in the forsale section with a phenom processor ;)

Yes, everything should work fine and you should be able to plug in everything normally. Just make sure everything is tightened down the way it is supposed to and that everything is plugged in where it supposed to be. Not screwing the motherboard screws in properly can cause failure to start the computer.

Overall everything is fine.

dude, dont buy something now so you can upgrade a "year or two" in the future, that is the dumbest thing you can do. buy a new motherboard when you are ready to upgrade your CPU as well. also, if you change chipsets, you will most likely need to reinstall Windows

haha yea i know what your saying, I just figured i'll get the mobo now and being that my current processor at least to me, for everyday computer use isnt bad. i actually think it runs pretty quick. but like i said before. I just got back into computers again. i needed a computer didnt have too much money, and built my current rig for around 300 dollars like 2 weeks ago. not including the gpu.

its been like 1 year since ive had a computer. i sold my old p4 to a friend.
i was just thinking " i just need a computer to browse the net, word process."
but now that i'm getting into it again , now i wanna game occasionally and kinda have a "Fast" comp.

yeah, but in a year or two there will be something else that is much better than the phenom, and you will be stuck with a motherboard that doesnt support it...

He is right. Buy it when u need it, technology is changing so fast, you will be skrewd either way. But better to be skrewd later then now.

Ok so i plan on Getting a New Mobo, and a Phenom Processor sometime next month. or in December. Im Running Windows Xp Pro SP3. Is there anything technical i will need to do other than "plug and play". Someone said i might have to reboot windows. if so. How do i go about doing this.

you will need to have the windows disk and your license key. google some instructions on how to reinstall the OS if you dont know how to do it. you will then need to install your drivers.
