Will this motherboard work?

So turns out motherboard in the server/HTPC has given out. So going to replace it. But hoping that the HDD's will just plug in and work as still want the OS and what's on it, but not sure if it will. Can anyone tell me if it will thanks?
Old Mobo - Asrock N86-S-UCC
New Mobo - Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P
 
They will connect and work, but if you have a RAID set up, you may be in trouble getting that to work. Hopefully you have a back up.
 
Awesome thanks. No RAID at the moment, part of why decided to go for the Gigabyte instead of same mobo is 6 sata ports instead of 4 so can run 2 x 2Tb drives with RAID 1 and still keep OS HDD, other 2Tb HDD and optical drive.
 
don't forget that if you are changing alot of hardware, windows may not activate, you might have to call microsoft, unless it's a dell or hp
