Well it says that the Dimension 4700 is the only one it works with. Do you have a 4700?

same here u dont have to get a 4700 dell psu. I got one from newegg.com and it slid right in and everything worked but one screw didnt fit and it doesnt move a bit. this is the one i got, cheaper now then when i got it and all u do is install it upside down so the fan is taking hot air from the computer and pushing it out the back. and i know it says 20 pin power connector but the pic shows a 24.

Honestly, most of my horrendous opinion is based on Dell's severe lack of product knowledge on their own rigs. Given the company here, I don't think that's valid, so never mind. ;-)
