Will this ram set up work properly?

I have 2 questions.

1. When dual channeling memory do they all have to be the same? I have 4 memory slots. Can I have two sticks of 1gb and two sticks of 2gb? or wont dual channel run properly like that?

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145184 this is the ram i am looking at picking up to upgrade but i currently have two sticks of the same stuff but its thes C4 so the timing is 4-4-4-18 and the ram in the link is 5-5-5-18. Will they still work together?

I think your ok with that configuration, but the 4 will run at 5.

Another qustion i have is should i just switch to ddr3 1333 because i can get a 4gb kit of that for cheaper then the ddr2 800? But the timing specs are higher on the ddr3 so is it still better then the 800 or is the 800 better?

As far as the dual channel question http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dual-channel_architecture
ddr 3 will not fit in a ddr 2 motherboard. Unless you have a mobo that has both types of slots.
