I am currently trying to set up a new build in order to run avid for editing....below is all the parts I have got...will it all work?

Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT Graphics card
Corsair XMS2 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 Memory Kit
EVGA nForce 680i SLI SKT775 7.1channel audio DDR2 ATX (122-CK-NF68-A1)
19" Acer AL1916WS 8ms Widescreen TFT Monitor x2
500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA II 300 7200rpm 8MB cache Hard Drive
Also Pentium 4 Processor

I also have a 80GB hard drive although this will be kept for personal stuff
plus I do have another Graphics card Nvidia Geforce 5600 (I think) could this be used alongside my other graphics card so I can run another monitor for the client view...I know of it being able to do but wondered if this motherboard allows for the use of two??

Right I think that is it....cheers in advance guys

Video editing is very ram and cpu intensive. Go with the most you can afford, 2 gigs ram is fine if your on an XP machine, but if your going with vista then get 3 gigs. 7600 video card? Umm...no get at least a 7950 card or if you are running vista get a 8600 card at the very least. At least a dual core cpu. Don't know if that program will use dual cores or quad cores. But if it supports quad cores go with one of those cpu's.

Are you going to want to run SLI? If not then I would step down to a board that does not have SLI capability's.

Harddrive I would go with a Western Digital raptor. Faster spin times means less time editing.

Maybe a couple of these
