Will this work

Possibly a very stupid question.

I reformatted my machine about a month ago and it was a pain in the backside. Well I decided to buy a new mobo, ram and CPU and would ideally not like to reformat.

I was always told in the past that the Windows verification was against the components in the computer and too much of a major change would cause a licensing issue.

a) Is this true?
b) Could I simply hook me old SSD with Windows on to my new rig to avoid a reformat?

Thanks,
Jon

You could try a Repair Install, but when replacing that much Hardware reinstalling Windows will probably be needed.

1. Perform a repair install of your Windows OS using it's CD or DVD disk...
2. Install all the neccessary drivers...
3. Delete all invalid registry values using Eusing free registry cleaner and restart the computer...

As for the licensing issues, there is always a way to solve that small problem.

Cheers!
