I was reading a description of Windows Media Center and it said it would only work on entertainment PCs or something of that sort. Is this true? If so what would I need to have in my comp?

As far as I'm aware, Media Center only requires a "compatible" TV tuner card, which is probably any TV tuner card that has XP drivers available for it.

You don't even need the tuner card really, unless you want to watch TV and record video with the Media Center. The only major difference is the Media Center. Which really isn't that mind blowing anyways.

As SirKenin said, you dont need a tv tuner. There are no other pre-requisites of MCE over other versions of XP.

Oops, I shouldn't have used the word "required". I'm not sure why I put that since I'm aware MCE doesn't require a TV tuner, but I guess there isn't a great deal of point in having MCE if you don't have a tuner.

Thanks for the correction.
