Thanks Johnb35; i did that and put everything to never but still when i close the lid it turns off the display
Sorry to intrude, but if you are saying what I think you are, it is not the operating system doing this.
With all laptops I have, the screen will turn off when I close the lid whatever I do. You can stop them sleeping like JohnB35 said but unless there is an option in the BIOS or something, I do not think you will get around it.
Why would you want the display *on* when the lid is shut anyway?![]()
You would be better off using the "Show display only on display 2" option
Extend desktop will force both screens to be used as two desktops, so stuff may appear on the closed screen or you might lose your mouse on it.
iirc WinKey+P or something brings up the dialog to pick it.
