ok so i am currently running win 7 ultimate 32 bit and wonder what the advantage of get the 64 bit is? will i see any improvements? my hardware is compatible just dont know if its worth the time money and effort

Max ram Win7x86 4GB
Max ram Win7x64 192GB

Ability to run 64bit apps...
The inability to run 16bit apps... you probably dont care about that.
It is said that some 32bit apps might not run as well as they would on a x86 os. (but i dont know which programs)

all of my programs work fine with it.

Feel free to add on to my list...

Windows 7 64-bit has better graphics than 32-bit. Most 16-bit programs also should be able to work with Windows 64-bit.

In my opinion I would go with Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium if I were purchasing Windows.

64 bit will allow you to use more total memory (video card + memory modules), with the 32 bit OS your limited to 4GB total memory (Videocard + memory modules). A lot of the new games coming out will be written opitmally for 64 bit and there is may be limited features for 32 bit support. I can not give the names of the outcoming games (NDA's ftl), but a few of them are primarly written for 64 bit OS's and they have some limited features for 32 bit in terms of graphics level and UI functions.

The future of computers is in 64 bit OS's.

i see that doesnt matter so much on this rig bc the mobo is limited to 4 gbs of memory but as far as that when i built a new sys i will keep that in mind
