there is a compatibility mode to run in 32 bit if needed.

check and see at the site for the program.
Maybe look at issues there. they might have an update for windows 7.
it will make your life easier. do this 1st.

No, you shouldn't have to buy it all over again. Tremmor is right, 32bit apps will run under a 32bit compatibility mode in Win7 64bit. I haven't run into a crippling issue yet myself.

Be forewarned that you will need to do a clean install of Win7 64bit. You can not upgrade your Vista 32bit install to a 64bit OS without doing a clean install.

thanks but

Can someone tell me how the 32 Bit Mode works in win 7. ???

I meen wen I go to install my Corldraw 11. it will not take it Right???
Or if it does what do I do wen I go to use my Coreldraw 11. how do I activate the 32 Bit mode

It will take the install just fine. You should be able to run the program just as you do now without any noticeable difference. There is nothing for you to activate. 32bit programs are handled automatically in the background by the OS.

The only issue you may have is with the installer. All 32bit programs are installed to the "Program Files (x86)" directory within the 64bit OS. I have seen some older programs that insist on installing into the 64bit "Program Files" directory. As Tremmor mentioned, it is worth a look over at the developer's website.

Also, if you do happen to run into problems with that software in Windows 7, you can install it in XP Compatability mode (literally VirtualPC) provided you have the Pro or Ultimate versions.

ive had a few problems. had and determined to figure it out. party over.
all hardware. my last one was a pinnacle usb hd stick that i could not get to run tv for the life of me.

I was on the hunt. Im using a pro ver of windows 7 pro. the answer was the software would not run. not even the 64 bit drivers after installing. plugged in the hardware and ran windows media center. BAM .....all the local channels working.

thanks but

I am going to get win 7. Ultamate. 64 Bit

I do have Movie Studio 8.0 C and I would love to keep it in win 7.

can this work???
And what is the minamum of RAM that can be seen by win 7.??? and the most RAM that can bee seen by win 7.

You should be fine robertbiferi.

Windows 7 64bit - The Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions can "see" up to 192GB of memory.

All 32bit versions of Windows 7, except for starter, are limited to 4GB addressing.

For more information on Windows memory limits head over here.

The minimum amount of memory required to use Windows 7 is 1GB for the 32bit versions and 2GB for the 64bit versions.
