win 7 help

I have win xp pro and I have two programs that I use and need but they are just for win xp.

Now I am about to get win 7. and I here that it has a win xp Mode in it.

So I wont have to re buy the two programs that I use a lot.

Wen I go on Youtube to see videos that people made about the XP Mode in win 7. they say you have to Download two programs.

I thought everything you need for the xp mode will come in win 7.?????

Nope - looks like you'll have to download Windows XP Mode from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx

It doesn't come on the disk, but it's a free download. You have to have Pro or Ultimate, though...doesn't come with Home Premium. (However, they all feature an XP compatibility mode)

Basically, XP mode is an entire copy of Windows XP that's been integrated into Windows 7. IF you've ever run a program in a virtual machine, that's basically what's going on here. It runs XP inside 7, and your program inside XP.
