Control Panel-> Appearance and Personalization-> Ease of Access Center-> Make the mouse easier to use

then select either Large White or Extra Large White depending on your needs.
 
Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization on the upper left there's Change mouse pointers in the window there's the Scheme and you can change the way your mouse looks (bigger smaller color and more)

yeah i led you to the wrong one :P that's the one you want in order to keep "aero" style pointers.
