win 7 install...sound not working

Recently reinstalled win 7 32 bit on desktop Asrock 790gmh/128m motherboard. The sound worked fine before reinstall (needed to reinstall). Speakers work fine with laptop. Downloaded drivers about six times to no avail. Do know if I have to install drivers somehow after download? No sound from rear or front jacks. Please help as I have tried all that I know to do. Thanks.

You download drivers from this page, correct?

When you download the drivers, then you have to run the drivers and install them.
