Hello. I have a single admin account on my laptop which is do not know the password of and is preventing me from wiping the computer and putting a Linux distributions on it. Please help.

Hello,

You don't need to know the windows password to wipe the drive with another OS. If you boot from your installation media you should be able to install.

Even if you only have one admin account on Windows, there's always a "super admin", simplified essentially the OS itself.
But you can just boot from your Linux media and either wipe the drive or have the GUI installation do it. Should not matter at all, as beers said.
