WIN 7 wont stop updating!!!

I just installed bitdefender total security 2010 and a couple days after my windows will NOT STOP UPDATING! i turn it off it installs then next time i shut down it downloads the same friggen updates .... I tried installing them manually and still no dice.

Maybe it would be bitdefender but i dont really see how that works .... Please help !
