Win Media Centre. Anyone use it?

i have heard quite a bit about Windows Media centre.

What is it like?
Is it only good for attaching to your TV and using it as a.."media center"?
What is better about using media center over Normal Winxp (or vista)?
 
i like it alot. it looks great and is really good for watching tv. it has a 2 week tv guide and programs can be easily recorded
 
XP MCE is exactly like regular Windows XP, except it has a media center add-on which is great if you use it to watch TV, movies, photos, music, etc.

It's much better then XP Home, because it offers alot of features that are only in XP Pro.

And no, you dont need to have a TV tuner to use it.
 
you dont need a tv tuner but i think its worth it. i only really used the mc for tv. i use vlc for music and itunes for music

But MCE would be better if you had the MCE remote, and/or had the computer hooked up to a TV.
 
I just got it... Its really just adding the ability to hook it up to your TV and having the Media Center itself. You can listen to radio with a cord, bluetooth seems easier and more useful and you can use it with an xbox 360. More stuff but more for Media of course.
 
just new skin,
windows dancer, windows party mode, windows media player 10, and media center.
vista includes media center on it.
