I just finished building my comp and all my parts and componets run fine expect for my win xp home. I just random unknown errors when i run programs like firefox or a game. The program will not open, i get that error where i can close it or send the error to microsoft. Then i have to reboot the comp and its very annoying. Is there a fix to this problem?

Actually i had a problem before with getting beep codes and i finally found out it was my ram, and i dont think i every did a full reinstall of windows. Could that b a problem?

That could easily be bad ram.... Downlaod memtest and let it run overnight see if it picks up anything...

As far as not doing a full reinstall, what do you mean? Make sure you reformat your hard drive before any reinstall in order to prevent any file structure screw-ups.

how do u reformat the drive?

when youput a Windows CD in, it will format the drive, and i only know how 2 format, when the specific drive is a Slave, and thats right click the drivein My Computer, the click Format.

Did you buy a new hdd an do a fresh install of windows, or did you use a old hdd with windows already installed?

Try reformatting your computer, this should help. To do this put the Windows XP Home Edition CD into your CD-ROM Drive and once the menu comes up click on install Windows XP.
