in july, there will be no more support for windows 2000, but will the auto updates still work, or will they remove all the win2k updates?

the reason i'm asking, is cuz i have a intel P3 system with win2k on it, my kids use it for internet browsing, and playing old school games.

Nope, no more automated security updates. The only thing that will remain will be online self-help bulletins. It's probably a good idea to stop Web browsing with Windows 2000 after that.

EDIT: Here is Microsoft's stance on it (Windows 2000 is in its end of Extended Support):

". . . Updates will be provided only through the Microsoft Download Center for the duration of its Support Lifecycle. . . "

you can easily find the update of win 2k from net. there are so many user of win 2k so if Microsoft remove update then you should download patch from other site and run it manually.
