win32 exception Nvdia GeForce FX5500

I am trying to get my GeForce graphics card to detect a TV connection, and when I try to run the Rigorous display detection i get the following message:

"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in nvcplui.exe [2864]. Just-In-Time debugging failed with the following error: No installed debugger has Just-In-Tiome debugging enabled. In Visual Studio, Just-In-Time debugging can be ebabled from Tools/Options/Debugging/Just-In-Time."

I have recently installed, then uninstalled, Visual Studio 2005 Express, and followed the Micro$oft manual uninstall routine to ensure I cleaned the machine properly.

Please note, however, that the dual view feature was working perfectly until I momentarily unplugged the SCART lead from the back of the TV - when I reconnected the dual view feature would not work and when I try to force the connection the above error occurs.

Any ideas why this might be happening?
Many thanks

The first thing there would be to shutdown before disconnecting or reconnecting any hardware. Now you will have to shut the system and reconnect then for a fresh detection there. A search on the error message didn't turn up anything there.
