Win32.Poison.k Trojan

Hi everyone,

The above Trojan has been picked on my computer by Spybot Search & Destroy. Despite deleting it, when I re-scan it reappears again.

I understand it's a very difficult trojan to eradicate. Does anyone have a solution to this problem please?

Try booting into safe mode to delete it.

If you don't know how to boot into safe mode;
Restart the computer and press F8 repeatedly in until it asks you about some booting options.

If you cant delete it in safemode i recommend searching for KillBox
its a small tool that i use todelete undeleteable viruses or the ones that are in use.

First find out where the Trojan is located.
By looking in SpyBots Logs find the Trojans Current Location( Example )C:\Windows\System32\poison.(exe)

And copy the Location of where its at and then paste it into |KillBox and Delete the trojan


Sorry but i am in a hurry.
Ask the mods for help.They are better at handling this in a more professional way.

Try AVG, Avast, Stinger.

Yeah try another Anti-Virus maybe SpyBot is not used to Handling these kind of Trojan.

Many thanks for all your replies. I put the PC into safe mode, ran the Spybot scan but it didn't pick the trojan up (despite having done so numerous time prior to that).

Ran an AVG scan - found 5 items (none with the above named trojan). Deleted those. Have since run a number of Spybot/AVG scans and nothing has been detected.

Could it be that one of the items located in AVG was the Win32.Poison.k trojan with a different name?

Maybe AVG identifies the trojan different. Different Anti-Virus different Identities that what i found out when testing Anti-Viruses.
